ISSUE-142: January ... December - classes or individuals (or both)
January ... December - classes or individuals (or both)
- State:
- CLOSED
- Product:
- Time ontology in OWL
- Raised by:
- Simon Cox
- Opened on:
- 2017-01-20
- Description:
- We need some clarification of the requirements for OWL resources for the standard Julian/Gregorian months :January, :February, ... :December. There are at least three ways to build a month:
1. subclass of :DateTimeDescription, fixing the value of :unitType to :unitMonth, and the value of :month to "--01" etc
2. individual :DateTimeDescription, with the value of :unitType set to :unitMonth, and the value of :month set to "--01" etc
3. individual :MonthOfYear, called :January etc (following the same pattern as :DayOfWeek)
4. both the above
5. all three.
Option 1. is what Hobbs and Pan did in the 2006 version.
In order to move forward, we need to understand the actual requirements, which I think are from the QB4ST team (RobA, Kerry). - Related Actions Items:
