<trackbot> Date: 15 October 2014
<scribe> Scribe: Katie Haritos-Shea (zakim-name and/or real full name)
<scribe> ScribeNick: Ryladog
JW: I am currently at Educational
Testing Service ETS
... They are a W3C Member Organization
JS: Welcome to Ben from Editing TF
JS: It is extremely sparse. My expectation will be a 2 day work session
http://www.w3.org/2014/11/TPAC
<scribe> Scribe: Katie Haritos-Shea
JS: We have a couple of docs to
work on. We will meet with Ben's TF
... Michael when will you be able to join us and not be at
WCAG
MC: UI do expect to have overlapping WCAG and EOWG agenda items
<MichaelC> https://www.w3.org/WAI/IndieI/wiki/Meetings/TPAC2014
JS: Requirements Document and the User Context module are the two documents we will need to work on
JW: for the Events Document we
will want to talk about complex widgets that have complex
graphis or visual other event type. This effects SLIDERS so I
think we need to work on and has the most outstanding
problem
... Several did not want to implement 1.0 without that thing in
Event being fixed
Ben: What do you think you will do at the Meeting on Monday at TPAC?
JS: Yes several of us will be there
Ben: I am working on a demo of
(Intensions Explainer) intention events it is really simple
right now. We need to understand how web developers
... Google wants to implement some intention events for
Chrome
... Demo is a genera; intention event demo - before and after -
much like IndieUI is trying to do/solve
JW: Device Independent select intention events
Ben: Yes. To clarify it is text selection
JW: Before input?
Ben: That is in DOM 3 - we are working with them. We just filed a bug on that spec
Ben; Any time before their is input events..
JW: Multilingual?
Ben: You select text it will say
we are going to bold this text
... I encourage all to read this and comment Intensions
Explainer
JS: Fabulous
<benjamp> http://w3c.github.io/editing-explainer/commands-explainer.html
Ben: It is another type of intension - but is that is make a little differently
JS: It did not look like the usual W3C format
Ben: We are considering. For context, it has a lot of direct manipulation of the Clipboard - and a lot of Copy and Paste
Katie: Is that a Security/Provacy concern?
Ben: It depends on which browser - the user has to allow it through some security
JW: Have you seen any commits?
JS: Michael can you look?
MC: His last commit was 21 days ago
JW: No significant updates since last time
JS: They have not actually moved and as you know it is a bit adjustment
JS: It will be that at TPAC we
will be working and work with Bens Group. The User Context 1.0
is a proprity
... I am looking forward to being at TPAC and seeing everyone.
Very sorry you cant be there Jason
Ben: I will send your group a demo - very much a draft
JS; Great - thank you so much, this will get WebApps a clue
