Symposium Status: Way-Finding CFP

<Vivienne> http://www.w3.org/WAI/RD/wiki/Accessibility_of_way-finding_systems

Vivienne: we have asked for suggestions
... we have checked works related to Open data

SH: are you guys happy with the symposium or do you feel you need some more help to involve people in submitting work to the symposium

Christos and Vivienne are happy with that

Annika is on holiday now

Shadi: we need to move from the wiki format to the call for paper format
... any timeline for that?

Christos: I'm going to produce a draft for the call for paper. I'm trying to find more people involved not only in open data, but also in wayfinding systems

and navigation systems as well

Shadi: Vivienne, do not duplicate the work
... We should start moving into the call for paper format

with description of the background

a good defined goal of the symposium

<christos> +1

update the call for paper, making it not too long

<sharper> http://www.w3.org/WAI/RD/wiki/Step-by-Step_Guide_for_Symposium_Chairs/Editors

SH: the call for paper should be quite short

SH: the catalogue entry is now quite good

Shadi: we can start creating the email version, creating the different parts and work on that

Christos: the main part for the call for paper are the research questions

I can prepare a brief introduction and goals

Shadi: the description of the topic in the wiki page is general, in the call for paper we need a briefer description, with a link to the wiki page to additional background

<christos> https://www.w3.org/WAI/RD/wiki/Template_for_CfP_Web_Page

<shadi> http://www.w3.org/2014/07/16-rd-minutes.html#item03 [[<shadi> The key sections are:

<shadi> <shadi> - Introduction (repeated on both pages);

<shadi> <shadi> - Background (on Overview page);

<shadi> <shadi> - Objectives (on Overview page);

<shadi> <shadi> - Important Dates (on Call for Papers);

<shadi> <shadi> - Scope (on Call for Papers);

<shadi> <shadi> - Contributions (on Call for Papers).

<shadi> <shadi> The other sections are rather administrative and can be added by me. Feel free to put all these sections on one wiki page that we can work on together with the group.

Symposium Status: Web-of-Things

Shadi: we have contacted people involved in Web of Things research, we will see

<Vivienne> regarding that CFP, 12 weeks from September 7 is November 30. So Sept 7 is probably the deadline for the CFP

Note Edit Status: Metrics

Shadi: we are waiting for additional comments from Judy

Giorgio: we are waiting for editing this note for 3 years, it is too much

for a Research and Developmente Working Group note

Note Edit Status: Mobile

SH: we should have a draft by the end of August

Note Edit Status: Easy to Read

Shadi: Klaus in on vacation, but his collagues are working on the Note

Note Edit Status: User Modeling

Christos: we are taking care about details on the references

we can move forward after that

Shadi: do you want to put the draft online?

Note Edit Status: eLearning

SH: status?

SM: working on it
... had a meeting
... divided sections among us
... then will merge them together
... planning to meet again to align content

SH: estimate of time for this?

SM: expecting a draft in a couple of weeks

<shadi> [[3rd december is international day of persons with disabilities]]

Vivienne: the symposium on accessible wayfinding could be on December 1st

<christos> +1

Shadi: 3rd december is international day of persons with disabilities; that date could be a good idea

the call for paper should be 7th Septemeber

September

Vivienne: if everybody is happy with that we can do with way

Christos: I'm going to work on that

SH: any other business?
