Native XML Interfaces

<Steven> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-forms/2013Jun/0001

alain: Open web platform to support XForms

Steven: I've talked to Liam (Quinn?) about moving XForms to the XML part of the W3C. All the money goes into HTML not XML. Liam agreed but doesn't think he has the resources.

Correction --- Liam does not have the resources.

Steven: Liam says he's over stretched so doesn't want to do a bad job.
... XForms thouroughly integrated with XML but not in the XML area of W3C.

<Steven> Anyway, when we recharter, we should recontact him

Steven: Is this an action or thing we or community group should be working on?

alain: no

<ebruchez> (Erik: We got a reply from Liam from the XSLT group on the serialize function. They don't plan to change this for XPath 3.)

Actions, and timeline

Actions

ebruchez: I plan to do some for the next call. Not sure if I can complete all actions.

Steven: Anything more to discuss?

Nick: Who is going to TPAC (China)

Steven: I anticipate going.

Ok
