Location

MIT CSAIL

32 Vassar Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts (on the corner of Vassar and Main Street)

Stata has multiple entrances, the one you want is the main entrance in the Gates tower. This can be recognized by the shining metal letters spelling MIT as a sculpture outside. Gates tower is the one closest to the intersection of Vassar St and Main St. If you are using Google Maps or Uber, it puts you too far up the street so enter 2 Vassar St instead.

There are two ways that I suggest to get to the meeting room on the first day:

- with elevators (a bit longer walking, more chance to get lost): Enter the Gates tower, walk forwards and look for the elevators to your right. Take an elevator to the fourth floor. Turn right, then left, walk past the dining area to the end of the hall, then turn left and D463 is ahead of you.

- with stairs (faster but involves lots of stairs) Instead of going in the main entrance, turn left and walk outside along the side of the building. There is a grassy area to your left. To your right you will see a semi-circular amphitheater with steps going up the middle. Climb the steps. Follow the path around the shiny metal building and go in the glass doors. You will be on a landing in a stairwell. Continue up the steps. You are now on the 3rd floor. To your right you will see a W3C sign. Ignore that but instead go through the glass double doors that lead to more stairs. Go up them, turn sharp right and D463 is right in front of you.

On the second day:

Enter the Gates tower, walk forwards and look for the elevators to your right. Take an elevator to the eighth floor. Go to the left, the room is at the end of the corridor.
