ISSUE-20: (Bugzilla 17395) Relationship to currentTime

currentTime

(Bugzilla 17395) Relationship to currentTime

State:
CLOSED
Product:
Web Audio API
Raised by:
Marcus Geelnard
Opened on:
2012-05-15
Description:
The phrases "relative to the AudioContext .currentTime", "relative to the currentTime attribute of the AudioContext" and "in relation to the context's currentTime attribute" are almost certainly wrong.

It must be a time on the same timeline as AudioContext. Also, the phrasing should be consistent.

Related notes:

I agree that the phrasing can be more consistent. I think you understand the intention, so if you could suggest how you would like this to be phrased, then I could change it.

Under discussion. Setting as OPEN.

The term "time coordinate system" used in QuickTime is clear and suitable for this purpose -

"... in the same time coordinate system as AudioContext.currentTime" seems clear and accurate.
