This seems excessive as it is quite likely that things will be just
fine without content micromanaging the input mode on the UA.

WG Notes: Fair enough -- this was enshrined as a Best Practice for better or worse. There are clearly some arguments for it. For our purposes here (mobileOK) we're basing what we do on Best Practices.

Resolution: The test is based on the Best Practices. We warn (not fail) in the absence of an inputmode attribute.
