The technique "Providing a synchronized video of the sign language interpreter that can be displayed in a different viewport or overlaid on the image by the player." can be deleted. There is no need for a different viewport. The video can be placed in the same viewport, either on the same page or in an own page.

Proposed Change:

Replace this with "If the sign language interpreter expresses a content of a video you can include a sign language interpreter in the corner of the video stream. I don't understand what he is saying. "in an own page". If its in its own page then that is a different viewport I would say. His proposal is identical to the preceding technique (with the proposed amendment about full screen) Here is Matins resonse to a request for clarification Hello David, thank you for giving me a chance to clarify my comment. I meant "an own page" not a page in a new viewport, but in the same viewport as further page of the site. May the image of a page carrying the same content in just another language would help you: In a multilingual site a content has one page per foreign language, so - to speak in my words - each language has the content "in an own page". Sign language is one of the "foreign" languages. I wanted to say the sign language video does not need to placed on the same page as the textual content. The video can be placed on an extra page without the written language. Here an example: A page, introducing a lawyer. Notice the buttons right to the headline: A hand as a symbol for sign language: http://www.ra-tolmein.de/kosten.php After clicking on the hand symbol, the same content is represented in sign language. (If you visit the page for the first time you have to choose your preferred video format. After that your choice is stored and not again neccessary): http://www.ra-tolmein.de/dgs_ihr-anwalt.php This is what I mean with the video "in an own page". A symbol of text leads back to the version in written language. One could say this would be a no-no, because it seems like a "text version for deaf people" or an "extra version" standing in contrary to the general rule of "one page to access for all". In the case of sign language pages for deaf people and easy language pages for people with dislexia I would not say this. I would say it is a solution which does not raise new barriers and turns down the language barrier. I hope I could made this topic clearer. Feel free to contact me again if you have questions. NOTE: I think the commenter's comment above may relate to another SC. His clarification above talks about providing a page with sign interpretation of the text on the original page. But this SC is about mulitmedia - not sign language interpretation of a text page. (that is 3.1 option) Also, his comment only removes an option. What he suggests is already covered in option #1 - or a variation of it. Suggest we just include a second variation (on its own page) but not delete what we have. More feedback from Commenter. This appears to now address his concern. he just wanted to be sure that we didnt restrict solution to interpreter in a corner. We did not eliminate the option on the part of the author to put it into a new viewport (which could be independently scaled) because that would also be sufficient. The new technique is titled "Providing a new page that has the video with the sign language interpretation of the audio track."
