Situation A - If a mandatory field contains no information: recommend replacing text "text message" with another word - this has connotations with mobile phones

Proposed Change:

Rewrite the technique; Related issues: (space separated ids); WG Notes: [TEAMC] sent an email to commenter requesting clarification - is she just concerned with the use of the phrase "text messages" or are there deeper issues with the technique? July 18 - verified that the concern is with the phrase "text message" - suggest rewording the SC to remove that phrase. Discussed in the 27 July 2006 telecon: resolution: accept LC-1120 as amended http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2006/07/27-wai-wcag-minutes.html {accept} DONE update the title of technique G34 to, "Providing text descriptions to identify required fields." BBC: Assumed that this meant G83. Also changed instances of "text-message" to "text-description" in Understanding doc. Internal WD updated 25 August. Response: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-comments-wcag20/2007Jul/0063.html; Resolution: The working group has updated the title of technique G83 to, "Providing text descriptions to identify required fields that were not completed." We have also replaced occurrences of "text message" with "text description."; (Please make sure the resolution is adapted for public consumption)
