I'm the W3C staff contact (sometimes called "team contact") for this Working Group. My responsibilities include liason with other W3C groups, long-term planning, assisting in document publication, and helping to manage the tools (eg the Wiki). My main technical focus in the group has been on extensibility/forward compatibility. (EG Extensibility Design Choices for F2F8.)
In general, I'm a programmer and software architect. I've been interested in building decentralized systems, with real user impact, for many years. I'm not particularly qualified to work with or interested in theory. My interest in rules and rule systems is in how they facilitate decentralized systems (eg the Semantic Web).
I've programmed professionally in C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, and Prolog. These days, I prefer Python.
