In case you haven't noticed, we have a number of people working flat out trying to find a plan that will succeed. None of us are pursuing a the notion of a survey on issue-30 at this time. As a normal part of the preparation for survey, the chairs pre-review proposals, and both proposals were found to have issues over which we believe that there would be sustainable Formal Objections. We have discussed this with the chair of the PF WG, the Director of WAI, the Director of the W3C, and the CEO of the W3C and have come up with a plan to address this. This plan provides the opportunity to work out the differences between the two proposals and integration into the specification in time for a HTML 5.0 Recommendation in 2014. We are aware of, and find encouraging, the discussion that is proceeding in the A11y Task Force, and encourage people to participate in that discussion.
