RE: SAWSDL Category [section 2.3 of Semantic Annotations for WSDL ]

Thanks Jacek for opening a new issue on the subject.

I understand that the spec is independent of any taxonomies, but it does not mean that a given taxonomie shouldn't always be referenced by its "normalized" URI.
For instance, if I want to publish the categorization information of a SAWSDL declaration into UDDI, I need to make a correspondence between the taxonomy tModels already available in my UDDI registry and the taxonomyURI attribute of the sawsdl:category element.

1. If there is a corresponding tModel (sawsdl:category = the value of an overviewURL of a given tModel; http://www.uddi.org/taxonomies/UDDI_Taxonomy_tModels.htm#NAICS for example) then I know I'll need to use the tModelKey of this tModel.

2. If there is no corresponding tModel, I'll need to publish a new one with the value of the sawsdl:category taxonomyURI attribute as its overviewURL value THEN go back to step 1.

If the NAICS taxonomy can be referenced by any uri, there is no way a publishing component can *automatically* publish a SAWSDL declaration using the categorization information...

Correct me if I'm wrong :-)

Dear Pierre,

the SAWSDL spec is independent of any taxonomies, but the ones you
mention could be pointed to as examples. I opened new issue 20 [1] to
consider that.

If you decide to use SAWSDL (or WSDL-S) in your work, you can already
use these taxonomies, most probably you'd put those tModel URIs as
taxonomyURI on interface category.

Hope it helps,

Jacek
