Changes were recently made to the HTML5 editor's draft to address concerns about statements regarding XHTML1 in the draft. We need to make the XHTML2 WG aware of the changes and ask for a formal response.

I've completed this action. We are waiting for the XHTML2 WG to provide an "camera-ready" alternative for review (that is, what they'd judge to be an accurate and acceptable description of how HTML5 relates to XHTML1).
