Once you have registered to attend by phone you will be sent the phone number and access code for the phone bridge.
Instructions to join the call:
- The bridge will pick up the call immediately.
- You will hear a voice prompt to enter your conference code (the prompt currently says 'passcode').
- Enter the assigned code and followed by the '#' key.
- If many calls are being answered simultaneously, you may hear 'music on hold' for a few seconds before the voice prompt plays.
Muting your audio
- At any time during the call you can mute your line by pressing 61#.
- You will hear three rapid high pitched tones to confirm you have been muted.
- If you are on a noisy connection (e.g. an analog mobile phone or a noisy trans-oceanic line) this mute will have better results than using the mute button on your phone. The mute on your phone only turns off your microphone it will not stop the noise from the phone connection.
Unmuting
- You can turn your audio back on by pressing 60#.
- The confirmation that the bridge has accepted this command is three rapid low-pitched tones.
- The other participants in the conference will not hear these tones; they will only know you unmuted your line when they hear sound from your line.
