Description Michael Kay 2006-04-26 17:16:48 UTC
The expected result is an error FOTY0012. However, there is no error in this test. The test creates an untyped element and then gets its typed value: the typed value is the same as the string value ("") as an instance of untypedAtomic.

I agree with Mike. Only if the element has a type annotation that indicates complex type with element-only content is this error returned (XQuery, section 2.5.2, Typed Value and String Value, bullet 4)d).

Michael/Jerome:

Thanks for raising this issue. I changed the query completly to
recreate the situation described on the Query Specs:

2.5.2, Typed Value and String Value, bullet 4)d).

It uses "examples.xsd" and "examples.xml". Submitted new Query, xml file and schema as well as changed to catalog file to reflect all these changes.

Please close the bug if in agreement.

Thanks,
Carmelo
