It seems more accurate to say that the media element "is not currently
playing" instead of saying "is paused or not". The phrase "is paused" seems to
imply that it's been manually paused by the user, but this would not apply
when a page is first viewed and the video has not been played yet.

Rationale: 

media.paused definitely doesn't represent if the element is playing or not. There are a lot of ways in which .paused can be false but the element not be playing.

Do you have another suggestion? I don't want something less accurate than "is paused or not", but I'm happy to change it if we can find something better.
