The AGWG will be meeting on Tuesday, 2nd of March 2024 at 11.00 AM Eastern US (Length: up to 2 hours).



Accessing the new web IRC Client

For those who use the web interface for access to irc.w3.org, W3C has updated the IRC web client we use.  If you are using your own preferred client that does not rely on the web interface, then you probably don't see any changes.  If, however, you rely on the web client (such as myself), then how you get access to IRC may be confusing.  Please use the following short guide to connect to the web IRC client:



Use the traditional URL (this has not changed).  I use irc.w3.org.

You will land on a page titled 'Connect to W3C Public IRC'.

The two fields that are critical to fill out are Nick and Channels.  There may be other fields available, and they should be left blank or should be blanked out.

Fill in Nick with your preferred nick name.

Fill in Channel with your desired channel.  For this call, the channel is '#ag' (without the quotes).

Press the button that is labelled 'Connect'.

You should now be entered in the proper IRC channel.



We will discuss this change of IRC client in greater detail during our AGWG meeting.
