Loretta, Just thought I'll bring this to your attention: H30(Providing link text that describes the purpose of a link for anchor elements) covers image links as a method for satisfying SC 2.4.4 with the alt providing the additional cue / context. H30 has an example with null alt (Example 3) and one with non-empty alt (Example 4) inside the link. A related issue: It appears inconsistent that H2 is listed as an advisory technique for SC 2.4.4 when H2 essenttially advocates merging two links into a single image link ... H30 has a similar example and is sufficient for SC 2.4.4. Wonder if you might be able to address these in your update? Regards, Sailesh
