Jan: As related to the new internationalization group per Lisa, there's been no feedback as of yet.
<Rachael> +1 to following up and getting the involved sooner rather than later
Julie: Would appreciate a follow up with i18n group to ensure they have buy in at a high level (descriptions, etc).
<Jennie> * Great idea, Julie
Lisa: Internationalization group has given feedback in the past that they would appreciate check ins to a group like this (and approvals) but aren't likely to participate.
<julierawe> Jan, can you please put the deadline in the subject line?
Lisa: Recommend a final ping before getting the community group up ourselves as they are extremely busy.

Becca: Conversational interfaces, 2 items to ask group about
Becca: Issue paper on Conversational Voice Systems, all comments integrated but two issues
Becca: Item 1 on algorithmic bias, this feels out of scope of this issue paper or something we can point to from this document.
Becca: There was a specific feedback about AI bias against cognitive disabilities; are there other resources out there related to that?
Becca: No academic searches have given useful results (yet). Worth trying again with more specific queries.
<lisa> safety
<Jennie> @Becca_Monteleone: if you haven't already, maybe check with https://
<lisa> - conversational interfaces paper see https://
Becca: May include some searches with aging to help the search process. John will also work on this particular comment.
Jennie: Has provided digest of useful materials (to Becca)
Tiffany: Those with alternative communication devices can also be impacted; recommend using those as additional search terms.
Becca: Second Issue, ask on mental health as a general note as related to Conversational voice system. Such as anxiety, cognitive load, negative experiences with conversational systems, etc.
Becca: Will leave second issue as is for now and continue to finish up first issue.
John: Is there any research related to voice male/female voices? Becca will review this aspect too.

Lisa: Safety issue paper, not many comments given 2 week window. Do people want more time or are there more comments to come?
<lisa> next item
<lisa> omments in safety issue paper: https://
Lisa: Will give it another week - link in the IRC (Safety Issue paper)
Lisa: Supported decision making as a scenario that promotes autonomy but provides safety. It is a complex topic but should it be merged with W3C or a stand alone solution.
<Jennie> * Here's the Volunteers of America page: https://
Jennie: Minnesota has a new program related to this; making a paper (per the volunteers of America link) would be timely if we can get a draft done.
<Rachael> +1 to doing it. If noone else steps up before June, I can pick it up mid-June. Just not before.
John: I would be supportive of this
Lisa: would also be a good time to get other (new) volunteers to get feedback on.
Jennie: These kinds of statutes may be changing in many states; this may be very dynamic in that sense.
<lisa> resolution. try and make separate issue paper on guided desion making
<lisa> subject to our yime and ability
Lisa: A document related to this would be useful to a lot of people. We should try to make a separate paper on guided decision making, subject to our time and ability.
<lisa> pulling content out of safty issue paper into supported desion making
John: Clarify, this is on Supported Decision Making
