<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> scribe: EA

<EA_> John CSUN catchup

<EA_> Lisa asked about Silver

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> next item

<JohnRochford> I can contribute to Silver update once I can join by phone.

<EA_> john replied - intensive design scrum that collecting ideas from those present - problem statement to lead to solutions

<EA_> Many people representing - John Rochford to contribute when he has joined by phone

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> next item

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> next item

<EA_> John Rochford silver update - many good and realistic ideas for future - push back on coga and commented on resistance to change

<alastairc> Just mind the hype-cycle, there will be a trough of disappointment before it takes off!

<EA_> Lisa asked about comments on coga gap analysis doc. John R commented that it was set up to generate new ideas

<JohnRochford> Clarification: no pushback on COGA

<EA_> Thank you John R - sorry

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> can you put a link in to the score card

<EA_> Alastair said common purpose is OK, identified purpose needs more.

<alastairc> https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG21/CR/

<alastairc> https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG21/CR/scorecard

<EA_> Alastair said needs at least 2 chairs to agree final result - more work needed on website evaluations

<EA_> Time outs has 2 separate evaluations and agreements.

<EA_> Need 1 or 2 people to do evaluations on the user interface, regions, icons - 1.3.5

<alastairc> This is the page that was submitted: https://a11y-resources.com/developer/adaptable-ui-personalisation

<EA_> Lisa mentioned lack of symbols and semantics on all the regions on ATOS site. Alastair commented - Evaluations have not been recorded

<alastairc> Mark - https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/#identify-purpose

<EA_> All the interface and icons need to be marked up before personalisation - purpose identified - symbol attribute stating meaning of symbol and link to word Net ot Bliss

<EA_> Wordnet or Bliss symbols markup still does not pass

<EA_> Mark said the regions can be done but may have an issue with icons.

<alastairc> SC text: "In content implemented using markup languages, the purpose of User Interface Components, icons, and regions can be programmatically determined."

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> <img aui-symbol="http://wordnet-rdf.princeton.edu/wn31/girl-n" href="mygirlsy.bmp"/>

<EA_> Alastair - clarified the icons being offered in a way that they could be personalised

<EA_> One or more pages needed with aui action

<EA_> Lisa mentioned transformations being set in user profile

<EA_> Alastair requested that someone who has this already set up can do the evaluation with some screen shots.

<EA_> Alastair will recheck what has got through with John.

<EA_> Lisa asked if Mark could put in the regions and icons with mark up - aria destination or using code provided by Lisa with WordNet reference

<EA_> This will provide and new URI - send list of icons to Lisa that have not been marked up in a machine readable way. Also needs the fact that it adapts to an alternative in the CSS

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eyvLsF_akaSx_6xK5Bx3ylJePN0QJC-6wt42pKolLEE/edit?usp=sharing

<EA_> The google document "Making content usable for people with cognitive and learning disabilities" will be made into an HTML version.

<EA_> Needs to have personas included and design requirements.

<EA_> Lisa hoped the design doc would be linked from the WCAG intro but still not complete. However, Lisa still feels it is worth completing.

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eyvLsF_akaSx_6xK5Bx3ylJePN0QJC-6wt42pKolLEE/edit?usp=sharing

<EA_> Easy to read requirements still need work - links to success criteria proposals.

<EA_> Lisa has said possibly still need some more editing but then can it go forward? Alastair had concerns about length possibly leave other documents as links

<EA_> Michael keen to see HTML versions and avoid tables within documents - have these at the end.

<EA_> Alastair and Michael to work together re HTML conversion and to see it as an appendix. Lisa stressed that this was critical content with each requirement but could be kept as a linked document

<EA_> This document gives everyone access to the different design requirements

<EA_> Alastair querying the layout and Michael will review the use of tables. Could possibly be a list format.

<EA_> Could possibly summarise the table and have it as a separate document.
