Currently in WebEx, unfortunately open space offices aren't great for conference calls

HTML5.2 implementatin report

SM: Will take care of the entries assigned to me over the weekend
... Do we actually need to test IE?

CMN: Not necessarily, as long as two implementations exist

SF: I'll look into the ones assigned to me

LW: Alex, can you do the ones assigned to you this week?

AD: Possibly, not the best week but will try

HTML5.2 At risk features

CMN: Anyone follow up on this?

<SF is missing>

https://github.com/w3c/html/issues/893

<tink> https://github.com/w3c/html/issues/969

SM: Would be nice to nuke some more WF2 features

CMN: Not possible, must be from that list

<chaals> ACTION: CMN to chase Francois about allow-presentation [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2017/09/05-html-minutes.html#action01]

LW: Dialog element

SF: Currently implemented in Blink, Gecko has it behind a flag

LW: I don't think we allow behind flags

SM: Tests here: https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/tree/03b2ae70ef781e1287fed6c967d30c199cb4cace/html/semantics/interactive-elements/the-dialog-element

LW: Criteria is that it has to be available to the general public in a shipping product, and has to be stable, intended for public use

CMN: So are the implementors trying to drop it?

SF: Not sure

AD: Seemed to be in development, but progress slow

LW: We took it out in 5.1, but not sure if we need to do that now

AD: Implementation status has improved since 5.1

LW: If it has progressed we might as well keep it there
... If there are no objections, let's keep it

CMN: Might be useful to mention on the ML

<chaals> ACTION: Sangwhan to remove the stuff that fails the at-risk criteria. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2017/09/05-html-minutes.html#action02]

Thanks to the editors

LW: The group will miss Travis, Arron, and Alex for their contributions to the spec over 5.1 and 5.2
... and would like to thank them for their efforts

AOB

AD: Will be around till 5.2 is over

<Meeting adjourned>

<tink> scribe: Sangwhan
