<joanie> agenda: be done

https://github.com/w3c/aria/issues/538

accname-aam need to clarify aria-owns in Step 2F

<scribe> scribe: jamesn

<joanie> agenda order 1, 5, 2, 3, 4

Proposal: COGA Semantics to Enable Personalization

JD: the coga group has asked to consider semantics to enable personalization and moving to FPWD

RS: this is FPWD of the doc. Needs a lot more editorial work. Want to show progress on the personalizations for WCAG

<joanie> bleeding edge copy: https://rawgit.com/w3c/personalization-semantics/master/semantics.html

would like to see it move

RS: would like to get some feedback

<joanie> official copy: https://w3c.github.io/personalization-semantics/

RS: coga team has been working on it for a while

JD: want to make a point of clarification

when did the agenda the official copy https://w3c.github.io/personalization-semantics/ is not quite up to date with the bleeding edge copy - but would be by today but hasn't updated yet

should check bleeding edge copy b4 raising issues

accname-aam need to clarify aria-owns in Step 2F (github issue 538)

<clown> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria/master/accname-aam/accname-aam.html#step2F

<clown> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria/master/accname-aam/accname-aam.html#step2F.iii

what does For each child node of the current node: mean

does is mean child nodes in the DOM or child owned nodes

needs clarifying so we have consistent implementations

<Zakim> joanie, you wanted to ask if they thought it was a bug because the lack of explicitness, or because that's how they think it should be?

https://codereview.chromium.org/1477043003

<joanie> https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=561766

<clown> https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=561766

clown: FF only considers DOM children

RS: how do they concatenate

JD: b4 we go down ugly paths we ask Dominic why they did this
... will follow up

Testable statements - Progress update

RS: trying to get these things knocked off

<clown> https://www.w3.org/wiki/ARIA_1.1_Testable_Statements

RS: APG doesn't matter - need to have more people doing the work

we are late and need more help

1.2 isn't going to happen until we get these things knocked off

Stefan: going to do some work on it tomorrow

ATTA - Progress update

JD: Jon sent regrets - but making progress

conclusion we reached was that it would make more sense to do the accessibility stuff from the ????

the ATK one continues to be done

making good progress on the mac one - using to test chrome canary and safari

finding discrepancies with the core aam - sometimes finding the core aam that is wrong

<joanie> https://github.com/w3c/aria/issues/539

functionaly it is a popup button and that is exposed but that is not what is in the core aam

would suck if put it into CR and find the core aam ha issues. should be what is correct

<clown> +1

JD: if you put pressed and haspopup on a button - aria-pressed trumps haspopup

clown: on every platform>?

JD: laughs

not all platforms have popup buttons

JD: not done with everything but making strong progress

Getting started on manual testing (mainly for Windows)

RS: UIA? that is the place we don't have a harness
... no headcount to do the testing - can ask MSFT for manual testers

JD: I think i have an email about that
... question is when are we ready to begin the testing

RS: would be good at some point to go through and find out where the test harness doesn't meet with the ATTAs

having some issues with the UIA mappings - particularly when go through the test harness

no range control pattern anywhere in UIA

RS: looked over the control patterns and didnt exist

uia also has current and cached - which should we be testing with

RS: if looking at the 1st time have lots of questions
