<shawn-off> Alan: Did interviews. although not much for us. did use cases. one point is that the people I talked to had deteriorating vision

<shawn-off> Jim: deteriorating throughout day, @@, lifetime...

<Bruce_Bailey> scribe:bruce

<Bruce_Bailey> scribe:bruce_bailey

Alan and Jim also discuss how LV needs change over the course of day

<allanj> http://www.sitepoint.com/mobile-accessibility-fails-need-wcag3/

<Wayne> wayne+

Jim: New articles from today, Q mobile accessibility fails Q do we need WCAG 3?
... examples include sliding menus that get stuck on and cannot go away, blocking content

Jim will review and add to use cases.

scribe

<allanj> close item 1

<allanj> open item 2

Alan Smith: Also work on mobile and use case.

Bruce suggest using web ex window to help scribe check who is talking

Jim asks for more examples?

Review of Use Case

Wayne checks if use case where screen gets reduced to single line of text

Wayne: heading takes have a screen just for menu, data ends up being two lines long
... so you have two lines out of hundreds, have to read page in small (regular) print
... user forced to use lens

Wayne volunteers to add use case.

Wayne: What is protocol to linking to bad examples?

Shawn: Thinks okay for wiki, but would want to clear up for final document

Laura recommends screen captures, may have to host off-site thought

Laura also recommends masking out identifying information

<shawn-off> >>> for bad examples, screen capture, mask out identifying info <<<

Wayne: can also format using PRE
... Use of PRE really hard to parse, and masks structural information like lists

Wayne will add use case for PRE as well.

Wayne: These all come down to why one cannot read fast.

Wayne will also move his reference materials to the reference sections.

Jim asks Erich if some of his use cases need tag lines and summaries?

Erich agree. Wayne and Jim have acouple each. Bruce too.

h+

Jim: most are terse, but be encouraged to clean up

Bruce asks if some are particularly good models?

Jim: What are better exemplars?

Laura: No favorites.

h-

Jim: Some are shorter, none are best.
... Use your best judgement. Short but not too short.

set a deadline for adding new use cases. Who has more to do/add, when will it be added

Deadline for finishing use cases

Jim: Can we set deadline? Do we have enough?

No objections.

Jim: Please conclude clean up by next week
... We do not have hard moratorium, mobile article inspired new use case.

Big Picture of Use Cases - what do we have, what do we need, where do we go next - evaluation and refining of existing use cases

Jim: We do want to try and wrap up thought.

Big Picture of use cases

Jim: Please think if you know you need more uses cases.

Jim will be following by email with Laura, who had to leave meeting.

Jim: Kudos to Laura for use cases, taglines, summaries.
... Need a couple people to review, maybe consolidate, group differently possibly.
... Looking for volunteers for this editorial clean up.

Jim, Erich, Wayne all volunteer.

Jim: End of agenda. Aske Wayne and Erich to discuss clean up.

Wayne: New item ontology
... functional limits and physical impact
... starting from four categories diagnois phyiscal impact functional limitation
... will add to wiki

<shawn-off> .... digital needs

Wayne: table started from texas school for the blind

Bruce: notes that his scribing is weak here...

Wayne: People will bring up topic like diagnosis, albinism, linking to functional impact
... there is the conditions then the functional limitation and want conceptional linking. Making live links will be tedious but is important
... same concepts may have very different phrasing, e.g. medical terminology and functional limitation

Jim and Wayne discuss that this sort of thing might need to be more a database than what we can do in a wiki

Wayne: Example is if you have this X sort of condition you need Y kind of accomodation.

Jim: Most can leave, work on use cases
... Editorial team to keep discussiong

<shawn-off> task is to go over use cases to see what we have and what is missing (and what we might want to combine)

<shawn-off> shawn can help fill in missing stuff

<allanj> title: LFTF telecon
