<janina> Meeting: HTML Accessibility Task Force Media Sub-Group
<scribe> scribe: JF
JS: notes that although we are small in numbers, we should review Marks Comments
<ShaneM> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/MAUR_Comment_Processing#DRAFT_Comment_Responses
JF: discussing the response/comments around Comment 360. JF disagrees with the Proposed Response.
Lookk at checklist
http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Media_Accessibility_Checklist
JF: looking at this deeper, it is a User Aeent requirement. When a User wishes to record a video stream, the alternative media streams should also be available to record, either "all in", or from a user-choice menu ("record stream + captions" or "record stream + picture=in=picture")
JS: making a strong case
SM: surprised that we never looked at recording in the first place
JS: seems that we want to modify the response - move this from a Descripitive Video requirement to a "Controls" issue
<ShaneM> Section 4.1 says "Systems supporting keyboard accessibility must:"
<ShaneM> perhaps we can change this to be about "controls" instead of about "keyboards"
<scribe> ACTION: on Shane to look at the requirments, and suggest changes [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/06/30-html-a11y-media-minutes.html#action01]

JS: none heard, will move forward

<trackbot> Created ACTION-275 - Look at the requirments, and suggest changes [on Shane McCarron - due 2014-07-07].
SM: on comment 393, typo: s/added/we will add
JS: any other feedback/comments?
SM: concerned - to ensure that the work has been done
JS: go ahead and take the actions we discussed
SM: will do so, and then commit if we agree
JS: there remain a few small edits, which I will need to review
this group was uncomfrotable with the term "Second Screen"
<ShaneM> section 4.8 is currently entitled "4.8 Requirements on secondary screens and other devices"
concern is tHat "Second Screen" does not always capture the fact that there might be a third, fourth or fifth screen, or that sometimes there may not actually be a screen
JS: comfortable with that. Wondering if that will create any problems from the TV IG side?
Kaz: many TV boradcasters and application vendors are also interested in not just screens
but other devices in a broader context
Agree with current naming - it's good
JF: asking about actual adoption of the term "Secondary Screen"
Kaz: ya... that is a problem
"Second Screen" has already started to have real traction
JF: so do we accept that, and then just ensure that formal documents reflect the fact that Second Screen and Secondary Screen are synonimus (sp)
JS: add a note that clarrifies this in our documents
[agreement around]
JS: suggest that we may be done
for the day, due to our low numbers
... end the meeting early
