Status: In hands of the HTML5 and Canvas editorial teams.

paulc: we likely will publish a new heartbeat of HTML5 at the same time as the Last Call
... we are discussing creating a Canvas TF; they are currently working on backporting changes from L1 to L2; no ETA

MarkS: we home to have a CR draft of longdesc next week; alt CfC also closing next week
... canvas support for hit regions in FF; bugs filed against Chrome
... working with media subteam and prioritizing items for 5.1

paulc: the 5.1 item will become more important as we move towards summer

MarkS: I expect the focus to be on media

Media Task Force

paulc: the TF hasn't met for three weeks due to holidays; but we are making progress on all fronts
... we have gotten new bugs on EME from Firefox; the author of these bugs appears to be in NZ; this may make scheduling calls difficult
