SC 3.1.2 - Discussed update to our resolution, the following is the original text:

<korn> WCAG2ICT has note not in M376.

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT note helpful to developers.

<korn> -22Feb13.

The following is the proposed new resolution:

<korn> WCAG2ICT text updated since M376 was developed (and derived from old language)

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT text more mature

<korn> -15Mar13.

SC 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 we are postponing discussions.

SC 3.3.1 through 3.3.3 no changes needed.

SC 3.3.4 - we need to remove 'set of' from the WCAG2ICT text, as it is an error in our text.

<korn> WCAG2ICT incorrectly states the substitution is "web pages" not "set of web pages".

<korn> This WCAG2ICT substitution is useful for documents.

<korn> RESOLUTION: Update the substitution to be for "web pages".

<korn> Rationale: it is the correct substitution.

<korn> -15Mar13

<korn> WCAG2ICT incorrectly states the substitution is "set of web pages" not "web pages".

<korn> This WCAG2ICT substitution is useful for documents.

<korn> RESOLUTION: Correct our text to remove 'set of" language so it reads : "replacing 'Web pages' with 'non-web documents and software'.

<korn> Rationale: we had made an error in our substitution language.

<korn> Rationale: Substitution text important to be spelled out.

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 4.1.1 resolution.

<korn> WCAG2ICT text updated since M376 was developed (and derived from old language)

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT text more mature

<korn> -15Mar13.

SC 4.1.2 - Note 2 is useful for developers.

<korn> WCAG2ICT has note not in M376.

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT note helpful to developers.

<korn> -15Mar13.

Software table discussions, starting with SC 1.1.1.

<Mike_P> Software survey is: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/55145/Jan232013-2/results

Proposed resolution for SC 1.1.1 to put it into the new resolution format and use in both the sofware and documentation tables.

<korn> M376 doesn't include "would be met automatically" language.

<korn> RESOLUTION: removes the last sentence  of note #1 in 1.1.1, that begins "If they do not appear..."

<korn> Rationale: this sentence isn't needed or appropriate.

<korn> -15Mar13

<korn> M376 doesn't include the last sentence of Note 1 that begins "If they do not appear..."

<korn> RESOLUTION: remove the last sentence of note #1, that begins "If they do not appear..."

<korn> Rationale: this sentence isn't needed or appropriate.

<korn> -15Mar13

Proposed that if the same conclusions are made for software that we say to look at the SC in the documents table above.

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

<korn> -15Mar13

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

<korn> RESOLUTION: remove the last sentence of note #1, that begins "If they do not appear..."

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 1.1.1 through 1.4.3 are all the same conclusions as for Documents above.

At the top of the software table it is noted that M376 isn't consistent in its substitution of 'software' for 'web page' because sometimes they substitute 'software user interface' for 'web page'.

We're not going to make mention of this inconsistency on the individual SC's where they occur.

<korn> In a number of places, the M376 substitution for "web page" is "software user interface" where we always substitute it "web page" as "software".

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT is consistent and "software" is correct.

<korn> -15Mar13.

<korn> In a number of places, the M376 substitution for "web page" is "software user interface" where we always substitute "web page" with "software".

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT is consistent and "software" is preferred.[Where this occurs in the individual SCs below, we don't note it again]

<korn> -15Mar13.

<korn> In a number of places, the M376 substitution for "web page" is "software user interface" (other places it is "software") where we always substitute "web page" with "software".

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: WCAG2ICT is consistent and we have chosen "software".[Where this occurs in the individual SCs below, we don't note it again]

<korn> -15Mar13.

SC 1.4.4 for software

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

<korn> No change.

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 1.4.5 through 2.1.2 are no change.

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

SC 2.2.1 will have to be addressed in another survey for both documents and software.

<korn> No consensus to make any Change

<korn> We will survey WCAG2ICT to change our language to expressly replace "content" with "document or software".

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 2.2.2.

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

<korn> RESOLUTION: Change first paragraph of our guidance to say  "This applies directly as written, and as described in INTENT from Understanding WCAG 2.0 (above)" replacing "page" and "Web page" with "non-web documents and software in Note 2.

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 2.3.1 - no change.

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

For SC 2.4.1:

<korn> No consensus to make any Change

<korn> TF to return to this later

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 2.4.2

This is the same as for docs.

Task force agreed on SC 1.1.1 to 2.4.7 - as noted in the table.

SC 3.1.1.

<korn> WCAG2ICT has a note that applies to software not in M376.

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: Note is helpful to developers.

<korn> -15Mar13.

SC 3.1.2:

<korn> M376 doesn't apply this to software.

<korn> No change.

<korn> Rationale: We found a way to apply this to software.

<korn> -15Mar13.

SC 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 were agreed upon as copied into IRC above.

SC 3.2.1 & 3.2.2 have no change.

SC 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 will have to be addressed later.

SC 3.3.1 through 3.3.3 - no changes needed.

SC 3.3.4:

<korn> Same as above in Documents.

<korn> Rationale: we had made an error in our substitution language.

<korn> Rationale: Substitution text important to be spelled out.

<korn> -15Mar13

SC 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 - no changes needed.

Task force agreed on all of the SC 3.3.4 through 4.1.2.

We have a survey to do for closed products, one for the 4 skipped SC in these tables we didn't have our final language when the table was created, and one for SC where our language has been updated as noted in the tables.

Mike will do the survey on the comparison for closed products.

There will also be a content change survey for 1 SC each for documents and software, as well as a survey on the 4 'set of' SC for documents and software.

We should send all of the changes we've agreed to so far for the WCAG2ICT document to the WCAG working group to survey.

Gregg will take them to the WCAG working group along with the rationales.
