Does going from single-graph to multi-graph require new format and new media types?

State:
CLOSED
Product:
RDF Graphs
Raised by:
Richard Cyganiak
Opened on:

Description:
The group could add multi-graph support to the existing single-graph formats (RDF/XML, Turtle, N-Triples). Arguments have been made that this is not acceptable because it would fundamentally change the formats, requiring implementations to change from graph storage to quad storage; therefore multi-graph support should be done in new formats with different media type.

CLOSED:
2013/01/16-rdf-wg RESOLVED: Close ISSUE-23; we are indeed defining new formats and new media types for multi-graph.
