Entities can only be web resources?
- State:
- CLOSED
- Product:
- Accessing and Querying Provenance
- Raised by:
- Timothy Lebo
- Opened on:

- Description:
- PAQ states that an Entity is only a web resource, while DM defines it to be more general.
PAQ:
"An entity is simply a web resource that is a contextualized view or instance of an original web resource"
DM:
"We then define an entity as an identifiable characterized thing. An entity fixes some aspects of a thing and its situation in the world, so that it becomes possible to express its provenance, and what causes these specific aspects to be as such"
---
Is the PAQ restricting itself to access and query of only web resource Entities? If so, this distinction and restricted applicability should be explicitly stated. As it reads now, it gives the impression that the restricted web resource view of Entity is what an Entity _is_ in DM. - Related Actions Items:
