<hsivonen> Julian: it would be *really* nice if you could refrain raising issues like http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/40318/issue-125-objection-poll/results that require others to spend their time objecting to change proposals that propose changing something that's now interoperable across all the major browsers

<pimpbot> Title: Results of Questionnaire ISSUE-125: Requirement to break RFC 2616 compliance - Straw Poll for Objections - Web-Based Straw-poll and Balloting System (at www.w3.org)

<Julian> Henri, when the issue was raised, it was in conflict with IE8. I can't change what was a fact back then. It would also help if the spec didn't claim things that simply are BS.

<hsivonen> Julian: I'd be OK with Hixie wordsmithing the non-normative rationale text, but even that wouldn't merit an WG ISSUE.

<Julian> you get issues escalated when you reject bug reports for no good reasons

<hsivonen> Julian: if WG participants can't avoid escalating editorial tweaks, I think the Process needs to be fixed so to prevent their escalation

<hsivonen> but having to tweak the Process because participants don't exercise self-control in escalation, sucks too

<pimpbot> bugmail: [Bug 12062] UTF-8 BOM should not be forbidden in Polyglot Markup <11http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-bugzilla/2011Mar/0081.html>

<pimpbot> bugmail: [Bug 10475] HTMLMediaElement.frameDropped <11http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-bugzilla/2011Mar/0082.html>

<pimpbot> planet: Ali Pasha: Press Start: launching Google Game Developer Central <11http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogspot/Dcni/~3/aqZScUUDvWw/press-start-launching-google-game.html>

<pimpbot> changes: sam: Updated change proposal for issue 140 <11http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-diffs/2011Mar/0017.html>

<pimpbot> planet: Robert: Wanted: Native JS Encryption <11http://robert.accettura.com/blog/2011/03/03/wanted-native-js-encryption/> 4** Qt Labs: Briefly about upcoming QtWebKit releases <11http://labs.qt.nokia.com/2011/03/03/briefly-about-upcoming-qtwebkit-releases/> 4** Mike Marchak: Press Start: launching Google Game Developer Central <11http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogspot/Dcni/~3/aqZScUUDvWw/press-start-launching-google-game.html>

<pimpbot> bugmail: [Bug 12230] New: From this algorithm it does not seem to follow that dispatching a synthetic non-canceled submit event at a form causes it to be submitted. Yet that is what browsers implement. So that forms have a default handler for submit events should probably be split <11http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-bugzilla/2011Mar/0083.html>
