XG deliverables/reports

<laurent_lefort_cs> http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/ssn/wiki/Incubator_Report

(@kerry: the SSN deadline is in the first teaching week for most US universities :-( any way to shift it by one week?)

<laurent_lefort_cs> scribenick krzysztof_j

laurent_lefort_cs: please check the list for the XG report at: http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/ssn/wiki/Incubator_Report
... we need to integrate the ontology and semantic markup parts with our use cases

<kerry> +q

Andriy: IMO, the main part of the report should be the ontology

kerry: we should be careful how much (new) topics we add to the final report. it should be rather about the ontology and the markup part

<krp> +q

<krp> +q

Kevin: We need to understand first who will read the report before we decide what should go into the report.

<krp> So, beyond a report, I'd hope what we'll end up with is if someone want to use the ontology or the markup, we have a good document to get them going

<kerry> (@krzysztof_j -- ok I'll have a look what we can do. It is pretty tight - I remember when figuring it out - I think it is only 2 weeks allows for reviews now ..)

<Payam> +q

Payam: IMO, the most important part should we the ontology, our definition of semantic sensor networks and how ontologiy can help

david: ontology and its *application*

<krp> +q

Kevin: we need rather examples for the usefulness of the ontology
... provide a modeling example like a howTo for the ontology

<laurent_lefort_cs> Jano: Agree with previous points on explaining how to use the ontology

<krp> yes, a howto, that's a good way of thinking about it

<laurent_lefort_cs> Jano: describing the reasoning and the use of SPARQL over the ontology

krzysztof_j: we also need to show the reasoning part, what do we get from using semantics for the sensor web?

michael: sections 4 and 5 are the crucial parts

Pramod_: examples for the use of the sensor ontology are very important

kerry: a real example that demonstrates the ontology as well as the markup part

<krp> +q

krp: semantic discovery example

<michael> I'll contribute to section 4

<Payam> +q

<Andriy> +q

<krp> -q

Payam: smart products example

Kevin: linked data example

krzysztof_j: we have also linked sensor data examples

<Payam> Linked data example (Payam)

<krp> Is the report deadline the same as the end of the charter?

@kerry: can you put the final deadline here

<krp> it was just a personal practical question -- I'm away from this Friday until after the charter ends

<krp> Oscar's already on leave! :)

<Payam> when is the deadline for contributions? end of this month?

<michael> 3rd September is the deadline

<krp> +q

Action plan for DOLCE

I would assume we do it both together

+q

<michael> +q

ok, i am happy to do so

bye bye

<kerry> bye!

<michael> bye

<Payam> bye

<Arthur> bye
