werner: action 135 is done already; we already discussed the consequences

<chris> I agree with werner to drop 135

<daniel> I talked with Dave Singer during the last AC and he said he won't ba able to work on MAWG. I'd suggest to take off all of his items.

<joakim> Wonsuk status on action 214?

<wonsuk> just a minute..

<daniel> Action-218 can be closed

<joakim> I will ask geolocation to ask our API doc!

<joakim> Do we still want review from geolocation?

<chris> yes

<chris> imo

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Annotations/track/actions/220

<fsasaki> is not done yet, ACTION-219

<tmichel> http://suika.fam.cx/www/webidl2tests/readme

thierry: have been investigating that tool (URI above)
... one side remark:
... we have pieces of code embeded in the API doc
... needs to have a PRE element with class "idl"

<chris> where is this added? (in the xslt?)

<chris> the pre-element is not in the xml input but in the html output

thierry: then we can validate the WebIDL more easily
... We also need a piece of code to show how to instanciate the object.
... This tool is nice, but does not support the latest version of WebIDL currenty.
... It will be updated by may/june, which should meet our constraints.
... We should write some tests manually, then use the tool to generate more test cases.

<chris> +q

<joakim> chris!

chris: the XML is generated automatically; how do we add the PRE element?
... currently, we insert a DEF, which gets automatically transformed into a PRE

thierry: I will investigate this

<joakim> pa?

<scribe> ACTION: tmichel to investigate how to create def elements with class "idl" in the generated XML [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2010/03/30-mediaann-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-228 - Investigate how to create def elements with class "idl" in the generated XML [on Thierry Michel - due 2010-04-06].

<chris> dominique (dom) has sent a review on the API a while a go

<daniel> action 222 and 223 are still open.

<trackbot> Sorry, couldn't find user - 222

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Annotations/track/actions/225

thierry: that is done through links. A link for each format.

joakim: is there something for Véronique to do?

thierry: if you want the editors to update the links, it should be done in the XML source
... by updating the 22 links. I can provide the links.

joakim: leave it open, then

<chris> ongoing

ACTION-227 ongoing

Way forward to LC for Ontology and API documents

joakim: for the ontology doc, we need to improve the mapping table

wonsuk: before going to LC, we will receive the comments from W3C experts from other groups
... inc. Robin Berjon

<fsasaki> Felix: think we could implement Robin's comments, that will be a good preparation for last call

wonsuk: don't know how long we have to wait.

joakim: Daniel, you could set a deadline for reviews.

<daniel> Agreed,

action daniel to inform reviewers about the deadline

<trackbot> Sorry, couldn't find user - daniel

<daniel> let's remind them for our due...in 2 weeks ? make sense for our milestone (one week before the next f2f)

action spark3 to inform reviewers about the deadline

<trackbot> Created ACTION-229 - Inform reviewers about the deadline [on Soohong Daniel Park - due 2010-04-06].

joakim: maybe we should define minimum information to be put in the mapping table?

werner: there could be a minimum criteria for columns for each field
... e.g. "at least a name and a datatype"
... completeness is hard to achieve or check, depending on the formats

joakim: agreed on those two column. What about the "syntactic mapping" column?

<fsasaki> Felix: it might be good (in addition) to see what the reviewers say - we could ask them in the review request "what is in a good shape (that is what is the minimum level of useful information) in your opinion?"

werner: could be. Let's see how the table evolves to know how strict we can be :)

<tmichel> yes we should have a dad line

joakim: with a deadline in two weeks, we could vote during the 13/04 telecon

<joakim> Daniel, how about voting/deciding for final version of Ontology doc the 13/4?

thierry: minimum is 4 weeks of LC before CR

<daniel> final revision for voting (all resolution of reviews) ?

thierry: once we've ended the LC review, we need time to deal with all the comments
... usually about a month

joakim: that brings us to july

thierry: you can stay very little time in CR
... depending on the level implementation
... my experience is that all comments come during the last week of LC

<daniel> Daniel: so getting reviewers comments by April 13, voting for LC on April 20. is it doable ?

joakim: I still think that we should try to aim at the 13/04
... to decide which parts of the mapping table we'll keep
... who can comment about the API document?

chris: we got some comments from Robin.

<chris> I am preparing answers to the comments of Robin

chris: comments from geolocation would be valuable as well.

<wonsuk> http://dev.w3.org/2009/dap/contacts/

wonsuk: the DAP working group is using HTML+javascript for editing their document
... (see URI above)
... I propose that we switch to this solution

<joakim> chris /florian?

<joakim> do yo lie wonsuks proposal?

wonsuk: first benefit: easier to edit
... second benefit: nicer output

<florian> from my point of view a document like the one wonsuk proposed would be nice, but we are near a final state...perhaps a waste of time at the moment to translate that?

wonsuk: the javascript can generate WebIDL
... I can convert the API document.

<fsasaki> Felix: fine by me (moving to ReSpec)

tmichel: no issue with the W3C policy

<chris> I dont have problems with it if it does not take to much time

<chris> and if you can easily explain to other editors how to make edits

tmichel: but how much work will it take?

<florian> +1 @ chris

wonsuk: I think one week is enough

tmichel: does it need some modification of the script?

wonsuk: I would have to modify the script, but can copy the script used by the DAP WG

<joakim> lets try then!

tmichel: it should be up to the editor to chose the method to use

<joakim> PA can you give an Action item to Wonsuk!

action wonsuk to convert the API document to html+script format

<trackbot> Created ACTION-230 - Convert the API document to html+script format [on WonSuk Lee - due 2010-04-06].

<chris> regardless of the way the doc is created, I have integrated some/most of the comments of Robin in a new version of the API

<chris> so if Wonsuk bases him on the current API document I dont see any problems from my side

<chris> (updated version: http://dev.w3.org/2008/video/mediaann/mediaont-api-1.0/mediaont-api-1.0.html)

<joakim> http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Annotations/

<joakim> opinons about the MAWG logo?

<chris> it's nice!

<florian> i like it :)

<joakim> see you next week!
