<wbailer> was there a reason not to schedule for 12th, daniel?
<daniel> 12th is workable neither myself nor Joakim...unfortunately
werner: let's stay with january 19

<wonsuk> action-198 has been done
<wbailer> wonsuk, do you consider the uc&req document ready for publishing?
<wonsuk> I think so...
werner: we could vote for publishing the updated version
veronique: do we need a minimum number of participants?
daniel what's your opinion?
<wbailer> votes against publishing the current version?
<daniel> it depends, if no strong objection, we can go to the publication.
<florian> +1 for publication
<daniel> +1
werner: this document can be further updated
<wonsuk> +1!!!
florian: were the acknowledgements updated?
<wonsuk> not yet.. so before publication i will update that part
werner: give wonsuk an action to update it

<cpoppe> werner: any other open issues to be included?
<daniel> security part should be included in API doc ?
<wonsuk> Daniel, yes.. i will do that..
<wbailer> ACTION: wonsuk to include security part in api document [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/12/15-mediaann-minutes.html#action02]
<trackbot> Created ACTION-202 - Include security part in api document [on WonSuk Lee - due 2009-12-22].
<cpoppe> veronique: does the api consider that the metadata is embedded?
<daniel> ok, please make a new action item to wonsuk for adding security section into API doc.
<cpoppe> currently it does not define where to get the metadata
<cpoppe> werner: we might want to deal this when identifying the context of a media resource or metadata document
<cpoppe> it is not in the API document yet
<cpoppe> ACTION: chris to come up with a proposal of methods that allow to identify the media resource and metadata documents [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/12/15-mediaann-minutes.html#action03]
<trackbot> Created ACTION-203 - Come up with a proposal of methods that allow to identify the media resource and metadata documents [on Chris Poppe - due 2009-12-22].
<veroniqueM> scribe: cpoppe
werner: any other comments?
http://multimedialab.elis.ugent.be/users/chpoppe/MediaAnnotations.html
werner: thanks for making a test
implementation
... any comments?
<wbailer> chris: webidl only has bindings for java and javscript
werner: might be problem for web services
currently the mappings are hardcoded in javascript
meaning no semantic web technologies used
werner: comments from other people?
<daniel> As Thierry pointed, probably we should come up to the F2F with a list of features we need to test.
<daniel> If Chris'implementation can come up with some of features, that might be very valuable at this stage, are you available ?
pierre-antoine proposed to return an uri for each returned object
this was discussed on the mailing list
and is now integrated in the api document
<daniel> Also, any ongoing implementation for ontology doc ?
werner: on last F2F we defined
some test suites
... it was mainly for the title property
... I am not sure what daniel means with the ongoing
implementation
<wbailer> daniel, do you mean about updating the ontology document?
<daniel> no likewise Chris's API implementation for sharing
veronique: when is the F2F?
werner: scheduled for the last week of february
daniel can you confirm?
veronique: we should have an updated version of the ontology document sent to the list
<daniel> It's being scheduled, and a bit delayed due to MFWG joint. Surely we will confirm that within a couple of weeks.
<daniel> sorry for the delay.
daniel can you explain what you mean with an implementation of the ontology document?
<veroniqueM> Daniel: it seems that we do not have "one" official serialisation of the Media Ontology
<daniel> working cross different metadata standards through our ontology mapping and implementation results, some like this...just curious
<daniel> just curious any other ongoing implementation in our group...
werner: there are several ways to formalize the ontology
<daniel> let me speak about at next teleconf on the call...sorry
in the test implementation of the API, the ontology is implemented in the code itself
the test implementation has also not been made with respect to the test suites
werner: any other topics?
<daniel> thanks werner for charing today call, and very glad to work with all of you, happy new year
<wonsuk> thanks all..
<wonsuk> merry christmas~
<veroniqueM> \me merry xmas and New Year!
