Reporting Table

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wai-eo-badtf/2009Aug/0001.html

http://fiers.name/badtf/report.htm

WF: tried to express the relations as much as possible
... but then comment was too much color
... table getting more confusing

SAZ: we have results "Failed", "Level X", "Passed X"
... confusing

WF: tried to separate Guidelines and Success Criteria levels

SAZ: how about having "Level X" as part of the description
... then only have "Pass" and "Fail" in the result

TJ: how to pass or fail a Guidelines? need to indicate the levels
... could indicate "Fail" for Guideline if any Level A check was not met

SAZ: so need 4 color codes?

WF: the shades of green

EE: that where it gets too colorfull for me
... keep red for fail, neutral for level A, green for level AA, and blue for level AAA

WF: but that doesn't work if we remove the principle level

TJ: could handle the principles like the guidelines

EE: only one color for fail - no shades at all
... if met the target level, then the value is "pass"
... only two colors - "red" and NA

[summary: success criteria passes or fails against its own target level, this is aggregated up with regard to the target level of the report]

WF: need to make very clear against which level we are evaluating
... clear captions

RESOLUTION: only need two colors for "pass" and "fail" as per above

SAZ: do we indicate "pass" or "pass X" for the success criteria?

TJ: only need "pass", the SC says the level

WF: agree

SAZ: what about on the Guidelines level?

TJ: need to say "pass X" here

[summary: possible results for SC are "fail", "n/a", "pass"]

[summary: possible results for Guidelines/Principles are "fail", "n/a", "pass a", "pass aa", "pass aaa"]

RESOLUTION: have only the result values as summarized above

TJ: how about different column for the level?

SAZ: wouldn't do that, could do bigger separator between different levels

WF: that's a good idea

[notes: (1) indicate clearly the target level of the report, (2) only show target level results]

WF: have an "expand" link for long criteria texts

TJ: agree to it

SAZ: what about the link on the "passed" or "failed" results?

WF: make more sense but will revisit

SAZ: would stay consistent, keep the expand/collapse function the right-most coloumn

WF: what about "Sufficient Techniques - A" to indicate the "Situation A"

SAZ: keep that inside the actual description cell, leave out of the "Term"
... don't think need "Techniques" and "Failures"

WF: hopefully have something within two weeks

TJ: will try to get the list by 19th august
