<trackbot> Created ISSUE-173 - Rework B.2.4 to be more clear ; please complete additional details at http://www.w3.org/WAI/AU/tracker/issues/173/edit .

<scribe> ACTION: JR to write proposal for rework of B.2.4 Issue-173 [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2008/11/03-au-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-41 - Write proposal for rework of B.2.4 Issue-173 [on Jan Richards - due 2008-11-10].

<JR> B.1.3.1 Automatic Accessible (Level A): If the authoring tool automatically generates content, then that content meets WCAG Level A prior to publishing.

<JR> B.2.5.1 Templates "A" Accessible: If the authoring tool automatically selects templates or pre-authored content, then the selection meets WCAG Level A when used. (Level A)

B.2.5

discussion on whether the accessibility status of the template can be known.

js: recommends removing the phrase "if known" because it undermines the entire guideline.

AR: agrees.

SN: it makes sense. It seems to take the teeth out of it. PRoviding the status seems appropriate and reasonable.

<scribe> ACTION: JS to update the B.2.5.3 and B.2.5.7 to remove "if known" [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2008/11/03-au-minutes.html#action02]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-42 - Update the B.2.5.3 and B.2.5.7 to remove \"if known\" [on Jeanne Spellman - due 2008-11-10].

discussion of B.2.5.7 and the appropriate level. Currently AA, discussion of making it A.

JS: the use case seems to be widget repository and that seems to be AA
... recommended looking at the complexity of the tool as a way of deciding the level-- blogs and wikis as A, CMS as AA and development environments for AAA.

JR: confusing. If the tool only had its own homebuilt templates, it would just know the status. That would seem to be A.
... Later on, checkers are going to make them aware of it.

JS: B.2.5.7 is so broad that it is difficult to see where the level is.

<scribe> ACTION: JS to draft a new proposal for B.2.5.7 to make it more clear what level it should be. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2008/11/03-au-minutes.html#action03]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-43 - Draft a new proposal for B.2.5.7 to make it more clear what level it should be. [on Jeanne Spellman - due 2008-11-10].
