flyer

Dunja: thanks for survey feedback
... preference of group is for a mixed flyer

Dunja: 4 vs. 5 for "two flyers" vs. "mixed flyer"

Dunja: Majority prefers the cover page with the keys, possibly with small wording or image changes

<LeeF_> Dunja: data integration image for page 3 - big majority for Leo's image

<LeeF_> ...with some modification from a designer, and rewriting of additional info

<LeeF_> ...semantic web layer cake - 2 votes for it, 3 against, 4 for having it if it's a tech flyer

<LeeF_> ...I propose having it for a mixed flyer

<LeeF_> kidehen: don't think there's general support for layer cake being in the flyer

<LeeF_> Dunja: layer cake would be in the technical part of the mixed flyer

<LeeF_> kidehen: how about a high level technical architecture imagte?

<LeeF_> ivan: i would propose something different

<LeeF_> ...dunja, see if they can propose a version of the flyer based on the survey results

<LeeF_> ...then we can see whether the layer cake fits in

<LeeF_>ivan: I would propose that you produce a new version based on all the various replies so that we could have an overall view.

<leobard> +1 on that

<LeeF_> <group discussion on trying to reach consensus on a flyer as soon as possible>

logo

<LeeF_> bengee: two meetings with the comm team

<leobard> bengee: they are going to create new proposals

<leobard> bengee: its quite demandig

<leobard> bengee: there is progress

<leobard> bengee: some logo will be integrated

<LeeF_> ivan: main difference between what we had and what the comm team wants is that there should be more emphasis on the overall Semantic Web

<danja> (no strong opinions re. flyer)

<LeeF_> ...comm team will make next proposal

use case

<LeeF_> ivan: i have put in a new use case from Elsevier

<LeeF_> Elsevier use case

<LeeF_>ivan: we also have a commitment from Audi

infogathering

<kidehen> http://esw.w3.org/topic/SweoIG/TaskForces/InfoGathering/WishList

<LeeF_> leobard: kingsley made improvements to web service, debugging going on

<LeeF_> ...task is to store RDF in an RDF store and make it usable

<leobard> http://esw.w3.org/topic/SweoIG/TaskForces/InfoGathering/WishList

<LeeF_> ...bug tracking system

<LeeF_> leobard: deeper problems regarding transformation and use of data

<LeeF_> ...data might not conform to any known ontology, manual work to massage

<LeeF_> kidehen: wishlist page has saved queries that show how to get at the data

Dunja: this is just a SPARQL + XSLT problem

<leobard> ivan: suggest a viewer (Frederic Giasson's)

<kidehen> kingsley: it is (will be) possible to use fresnel with the local viewer, too

<bengee> leobard: next step after data finetuning

<bengee> ... UI / portal

<bengee> ... will send another mail to the group for further ideas, implementation proposals

<bengee> ivan thinks Fred's browser or the obviously built-in Fresnel support could be an intersting start

URI document

<bengee> (cool uris for the semweb)

<bengee> two open questions

<bengee> leo not sure about next step

<bengee> ivan: either publish it via dfki

<bengee> or as a SWEO IG Note, but basically up to leo

community projects

<bengee> knowee: moving from concept pahse to design stage

<bengee> phase even

<bengee> skipping the remaining topics (survey, tech planery, f2f)
