Quoted XML Namespace

The namespace name http://www.w3.org/2006/07/quotedXML# is intended for XML canonicalization and similar uses where portions of an XML document, and their context (namespaces, xml:lang, xml:base) must be quoted in another document. There are currently no formal descriptions are available.

Warning: Until a dependent specification reaches W3C Candidate Recommendation (CR) status, this namespace name may be reused by any update in such a way as to cause documents written using the namespace to become invalid or to change in meaning. Dependent specifications include:

• Web Services Description Language (WSDL) Version 2.0: RDF Mapping — used in generic attribute extensions.

This document is intended to comply with W3C policy for XML namespace names.

Defined Terms

This namespace defines terms for the following localNames:

• elemContainer — This element contains ordered XML element contents as defined by either the XML 1.0 content production or the XML 1.1 content production, quoted from an XML document. This element has no semantics and the semantics of the children are not defined in this document.
• attrContainer — This element contains attributes quoted from an XML document. This element has no semantics and the semantics of the quoted attribute are not defined in this document.
