Following these guidelines will also make your Web content more accessible to the vast majority of users, including older users. It will also enable people to access Web content using many different devices - including a wide variety of assistive technologies.

1. Older users are within the remit of Web accessibility inasmuch as they are people with disabilities and in no other way.
2. We are not writing accessibility guidelines for devices.; Related issues: (space separated ids); WG Notes: [TEAMB] Support for assistive devices is implicit in the way that we have developed the guidelines. There is no "also" about it. The observation that these guidelines are similar to the guidelines for mobile devices is interesting, but probably doesn't belong in the very first paragraph of our document, where it weakens our statement of purpose. Internal draft update 07 August.; Resolution: We have modified the introduction to make clearer the relationship between aging and disabilities, and we have removed the reference to other devices.; (Please make sure the resolution is adapted for public consumption)
