Should the search be included in the static nav?
We like having the intermediate search page.
With out having some type of intermediate, the user would get sent into the Google search results and that could be disorienting.
We also wanted to make sure that the user knew about the other search options that were available.
We are using a different method for doing a WAI specific search and that might catch people off guard. We want to have the oppurtunity to explain it on the intermediate page.

OPEN ISSUE: should the image of different characters have alt text
Andrew: there needs to be a dash between the rss icon and the about rss
We wanted to down play the date because the highlights won't always be time sensitive.
The time sensitive ones will have the date right in the highlight.
We like the idea of putting it at the bottom.
Putting the date right after the text of the highlight keeps it obvious that its associated with that highlight.
Parenthesis around the highlights calls out the date enough.
By putting the date in black it will make the date stand out less. it will also make it harder for people to associate the date with the highlight below it.
Date is especially needed for the RSS.
