Submissions
Submission request to W3C (W3C Staff Comment)
We, representatives of Electricité de France, hereby submit to the Consortium
the following specification comprising the document(s) :
- Simple Tree Transformation Sheets 3
which collectively are referred to as "the submission". We request the submission
be known as the "STTS3" submission.
Abstract
The submission describes the format of STTS3 transformation rules. On one hand,
STTS3 allow to modify the structure of a HTML or XML document, for instance
inserting new elements depending on the context ; on the other hand, they allow
to add CSS styles, rules or style sheets to a document or elements in a document.
STTS3 specification uses CSS2 general syntax.
Intellectual property Rights
Electricité de France agrees that the submission may be copied,
modified, and distributed by W3C staff and W3C members as part of the W3C
process. Electricité de France claims no copyright interests in
the documents comprising the submission.

The following are registered marks refered to in this request or the submission
None
Specification
The submission may distributed within the membership of the W3C free of
any fee.
Implementation
The following points should be noted as regards licensable technology involved
in any third party implementations of the technology specified in the submission:

Suggested action
We suggest that the W3C work on transformations rules based on a CSS general syntax.
We would be happy to see the submission as a starting point for this work.
Resources
To help with this work, we expect to be able to provide one part-time non-resident
resource to the Consortium. This resource could consist of one part-time engineer.
Change control
Should any changes be required to the document, we would expect future versions
to be produced by W3C process. We expect to be able to make the above resources
available to help with this work.
