I suspect (after a very quick glance) that either <i>paintCtor</i> or<i>prototype</i> was intended. (But I haven't looked at the use of the variable yet, so I really don't know what I'm talking about!) (I got here from https://github.com/w3ctag/spec-reviews/issues/140 .)
