RE: Need to have a better of understanding the decentralized identity communities landscape: W3C CGs, W3C WGs, DIF, DIF groups, Sovrin Foundation, etc. and all of their subgroups

A colleague has offered up the following community landscape... ...exactly where I wanted to start...

https://github.com/decentralized-identity/decentralized-identity.github.io/blob/master/assets/ssi-architectural-stack--and--community-efforts-overview.pdf

Does it need updating?

First, I jumped way too quickly into suggesting there was a need for some consolidation. Me bad.

Key takeaway: As someone re-engaging with more than a dozen of these groups, it would be nice to see a Venn diagram or a 2x2 or 3x3 matrix that positions the focus and mission (charter) of each of these organizations and their subgroups.

I want the latter to remain as the key takeaway from my comments this morning on the W3C CCG call.

Cheers,
Michael
