RE: ACTION-2328: Multi-Screen Placement Spec Review

Dear colleagues,

I have reviewed the Multi-Screen Window Placement spec [1] and feel that the Accessibility Considerations section could benefit from specific examples of how such an API would interact with assistive technology. I immediately think of how alerts would be fired to assistive technologies to inform them of new content being placed onto a new screen.

The spec does contain the following text, which we may deem sufficient or not:

“Existing accessibility considerations regarding default powerful feature permission models, prompting methods, and permission-related UIs, are equally pertinent to this particular specification’s permission.”

I wonder if some specific examples would be beneficial for readers of the spec to more fully understand how assistive technologies are impacted by APIs such as these.

Looking forward to discussing here on list or on a call sometime.

Best,
