Re: Proposals for 1st WebID XG Face-To-Face meeting

Europe
------

So during our teleconf today we did agree that we should have a first face to face meeting in the next two or so months (ie sooner rather than later) (I forgot to make that a resolution). We should note that there will be IETF Prague 27 March to 1 April http://www.ietf80.cz/ And that US people may be flying through London for that. We should not have it at the same time, as our Opera representative will be there.

( The RSA Conf will be in London in October, but I think that is too far out. I walked in there last year and sneaked into the Social Hacking talk, which was very interesting. But otherwise everybody was in suites there, and I think a lot more interested in solutions for immediate customers. But I think the OpenId people had a platform so may be worth putting a paper down )

USA
---

Also looking into a US meeting though we need to grow our numbers there probably after the meeting in the EU. Some things to take into account are:

The Internet Identity Workshop (IIW) in California on 12 will be in May 3-5 2011 in Mountain View.
http://www.internetidentityworkshop.com/
Semtech will bring a lot of people to California in the semweb industry from June 5-9, 2011
The RSA conference is

We should try to keep some further ideas of conferences that could fit together with our meeting that other people would want to attend.

Does anyone know of an intelligent survey tool to help make this process easier?
