Oh, huh, I'm not sure what I was thinking there.  It clearly shouldn't
be a full circle - none of the behaviors of nearby points do that.
Let's pretend that I instead said "a straight line from the start to
the end point", which is continuous with the behavior of the through
point on the line between the start and end points.

Heh, responded to the first paragraph before I read this part of your
email.  Sounds like it's a good answer, then. ^_^

Yes, starting with lowercase will be the lowercase version.  I have
not thought about shorter names - I'm not sure the current
single-letter commands can be maintained through our addition of 5 new
arc commands.
