I agree. The 2004 Semantics document already says all this. Let's look
to the future...

ps.fwiw  I disagree with Sandro that
http://www.w3.org/2000/03/rdf-tracking/#rdfms-identity-of-statements
is still open and confusing; RDFCore clarified and closed it.
Reification has problems, but not this one any more.
