Synchronization of out-of-band tracks will have a big impact on our
implementation and will probably need to be coordinated with RTC and
advanced audio API proposals, at the implementation level and likely also at
the API level. We (Mozilla) won't be able to give very good feedback until
we've at least started implementing a proposal.

I think a simple API for listing and selecting in-band tracks in a single
media element is worth having on its own and a much easier sell.

However, I don't think we should be trying to add features to HTML5 in a
hurry to meet some process deadline. Features that we don't have time to get
right should simply move out to the next version of the spec.
