Action-300 and HTML+Speech Feedback/RTC-Web (was RE: Draft minutes 2011-01-19)

Hi,

We have been working on use cases for Web-RTC but the reason why I have not yet submitted any use cases to DAP, according to Action-300, is the ongoing work on creating a Web-RTC WG in W3C. Seems more appropriate to make such an input to that WG (or meanwhile to Alvestrand's Web-RTC list). We are also in the process of socializing these use cases internally.

All the use cases we have done so far relates to realtime communication with a remote peer. The HTML+Speech use cases do not involve that but the common denominator is access to the device microphone for receiving an audio stream.

Isn't it logical that that use cases and requirements are created by the Web-RTC and HTML+Speech activities and that the problem of getting access to audio and video streams from the microphone and camera are addressed to DAP?

I could still submit to DAP the "Web-RTC" focused use cases we have been working on so far but I am not sure if we should start a discussion in DAP based on this as there are other existing and upcoming forums for this.

What do you think?

Best regards
  Claes
