An Possible Error in need of fixing

Dear W3C,
It has come to my attention that the W3C Validator claims when you use Google Fonts that “Bad value https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=One|Two|Three+Four:400,700 for attribute href on element link: Illegal character in query: | is not allowed.” (Where One, Two, and Three Four are font names.)
However, Google Fonts requires the use of the “|” character, to obtain several fonts at once. It would be my suggestion that you at W3C disable this alert where the character’s use is required, to save developers unneeded criticism.
