Fwd: Re: ACTION-101: Work with Doug and Rick on defining Touch Events mapping in the Web Events WG

Hi Rick,

Before I start a CfC to publish a Proposed Recommendation (PR) of Touch
Events v1, I'd like to understand your thoughts and plans for this action.

If the idea is to document the mapping outside of the TEv1 spec, then of
course this action doesn't block the PR; otherwise, this action is
blocking the CfC for PR.

Would you please clarify your intent?

(Perhaps this could be handled like the PFWG's request [1] i.e. add a
bit of context to the spec and link to the details.)

-Thanks, ArtB

I don't have any concrete progress yet - sorry. I have some ideas, but
I want to gather more data and write them up precisely before soliciting
feedback (and I'm giving priority to the other more urgent PE questions
first).

    Hi Rick,

I was wondering if you have any work on the TouchEvents and
    PointerEvents mapping to share?

Regarding "where" to document the mapping, options include a Working
Group noteand a wiki document. Currently, I am indifferent as to
where this info is documented but I do think it should be somewhere
    in w3.org <http://w3.org> space.

Doug - any thoughts from you on how/where to document this mapping?

    -Thanks, Art
