TAG candidate proposals and questions to this list?

Hi all,

one issue with TAG elections is that there is very little opportunity
(if any at all) for the community to talk to candidates before the vote
takes place. Were that to happen, the AC representatives could be better
informed before casting their ballot (either by directly following the
discussion, or from someone in their organisation doing so).

I therefore think that it would be a good idea for candidates to have a
venue to publicly state what they believe the TAG should and what they
would do on the TAG, as well as to answer general questions from the
community. This could have the additional advantage of feeding into the
TAG's own understanding of overall priorities and problems.

Having discussed this informally here and there, it seems that rather
than creating a new list for that (which would have to gain subscribers,
be read by the TAG, etc.) it would be simpler to just use www-tag.

So my question is, without deep-diving into electoral details: would
people here be happy if we were to invite candidates in the upcoming TAG
election to post their priorities and plans here, as well as answer
questions the community might ask of them? I wouldn't anticipate that it
would translate to massive amounts of traffic, but I do think that what
traffic it would generate would be high quality.
